Cookie policy

What this covers
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site also uses your browser's local and session storage, which work the same way. This policy lists everything gabs.app stores on your device. It is run by me, Gabriel Espinheira (gabriiel66@gmail.com); the privacy policy explains what happens to the data.
Always on
These are needed for the site to work or to remember a choice you made, so they don't need your consent. None of them track you.
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| fabricator_cookie_consent | Local storage | Remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics and ad measurement | 180 days, then the banner asks again |
| theme | Local storage | Remembers light or dark mode, if you switch it | Until you clear it |
| sound | Local storage | Remembers whether interface sounds are on, if you switch them | Until you clear it |
| gabs:intro | Session storage | Plays the opening animation only once per visit | Until you close the tab |
| gabs_contact_submission | Cookie | Shows the “Message sent” page after you send the contact form | 10 minutes |
Only if you accept
These are set by PostHog and Google Analytics, the analytics services, and by the Meta Pixel, and only after you click Accept.
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| ph_[project key]_posthog | Cookie, local and session storage | A random identifier that groups your visits, and your analytics settings | 1 year |
| ph_[project key]_posthog__flags | Local storage | PostHog's settings for this site, such as whether session recording is on | Until you withdraw consent |
| ph_[project key]window_id, ph[project key]primary_window_exists, ph[project key]_session_registered_properties | Session storage | Keep a session recording to one browser tab, and remember how this visit started | Until you close the tab |
| __ph_opt_in_out_[project key] | Local storage | Records your choice for PostHog. It stays after you withdraw, so PostHog stays off | Until you clear it |
| _ga | Cookie | A random identifier Google Analytics uses to tell visits apart | Up to 2 years |
| ga[measurement id] | Cookie | Keeps track of your current visit for Google Analytics | Up to 2 years |
| _fbp | Cookie | A random identifier the Meta Pixel uses to recognise your browser and measure visits from Facebook and Instagram ads | 90 days |
| _fbc | Cookie | Records the Facebook or Instagram ad click you arrived from, set only when you come from one | 90 days |
| multiFbc | Local storage | The Meta Pixel's list of Facebook or Instagram ad clicks you arrived from | Until you withdraw consent |
| lastExternalReferrer, lastExternalReferrerTime | Local storage | The Meta Pixel's record of the last other website that sent you here, and when | Until you withdraw consent |
| gabs_landing_attribution | Session storage | Keeps where this visit started (the referring page, campaign tags and first page) so the contact form still sends it after a page reload | Until you close the tab |
| gabs_lead_counted | Session storage | Stops one contact message from being counted twice | Until you close the tab |
Your choice
The banner asks before anything in the second table is set. Accept and Decline carry the same weight, and declining changes nothing else about the site.
You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, analytics and the Meta Pixel stop, and everything in the second table is deleted except the PostHog entry that records your refusal.
If you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram in this browser, Meta may also read its own cookies on facebook.com when the Meta Pixel loads. Meta's cookie policy covers those.
Your choice is kept for 180 days. After that, or when this policy changes, the banner asks again.
You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time.
